Government Income Support - Austudy & Youth Allowance
There has never been a better time to undertake graduate study at the University of Melbourne. Eligible Graduate students undertaking any of these approved masters programs will be able to access the government support payments Youth Allowance, Austudy or Abstudy from 1 January 2008.

Student Tuition Fee Support
Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP): A Commonwealth supported place is a higher education place for which the Commonwealth makes a contribution towards the cost of a student's education.
FEE-HELP - Is available for Australian residents or holders of Australian permanent visas. Fee Help is an interest-free loans facility for fee-paying postgraduate students undertaking non-research courses. It is similar to the deferred payment arrangements available under HECS.
Student Income Support
Youth Allowance: Provides financial support, the maximum age is 25 years for full-time students and 21 for other young people. A student receiving Youth Allowance immediately before turning 25 can continue to receive Youth Allowance until their course ends.
Austudy: Provides financial support if you are aged 25 years or more and studying or undertaking an Australian Apprenticeship full-time.
Abstudy: Provides financial support to students of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
