Are you currently in Year 11 at a Victorian school and looking for an academic challenge and/or university experiences while in Year 12? Look no further - join the University of Melbourne Extension Program!
The University of Melbourne Extension Program provides high achieving Year 12 students an opportunity for academic extension by studying a first year university subject sequence while still at school.
The Information Evening is an ideal opportunity to have your questions answered by academic and Extension Program staff, and past Extension Program students. The evening event will include:
- Registration and refreshments (6:00pm-6:30pm)
Foyer outside GM15 Theatre, Melbourne Law School Building - Subject Expo (6:30pm-7:00pm)
Speak directly with staff who run the subjects, and who will be available to answer specific questions about particular Extension Program subjects - History and Philosophy presentation (6:30pm-6:50pm)
A short presentation by Dr Kristian Camilleri on the History and Philosophy subject 'From Plato to Einstein' - Maths presentation (6:30pm)
Information about the Extension Program Maths subject - Philosophy presentation (6:50pm-7:00pm)
A short presentation by Dr Christopher Cordner on the Extension Program Philosophy subjects - Program overview (7:05pm)
Learn about the benefits of the Extension Program and the selection and application process - Former Extension Program student presentation (7:25pm)
A former student who completed Extension Program Maths will talk about his experiences - Student Panel (7:40pm)
Hear past Extension Program students' experiences and have your questions about study experiences answered - Evening concludes (8:30pm)
