2008 Australian student tuition fees

Calculating your Tuition Fee

Students enrolling at the University of Melbourne in 2008 in an Australian fee place will pay tuition fees based on the particular subjects they choose to study.

Undergraduate, postgraduate and Community Access Program subjects have been grouped into discipline fee bands, based on the costs of teaching the subjects and the demand for the discipline in which they fall. The amount you are charged is the sum of the fees for all subjects in which you enrol.

The discipline fee bands set out below set out the basis for calculating your fees but do not necessarily represent a typical enrolment. If you would like an estimate of what your course tuition fees will be in 2008 refer to the schedules of typical course tuition fees for each undergraduate and postgraduate course. As far as possible the fees provided in this schedule show the typical fees that a student enrolled in each course will pay for the course in 2008. However, these are indicative only and may vary depending on the subject level and discipline fee band of your enrolment.
