Entry requirements
To be eligible for admission to the University you need to meet the entry standards and requirements. For undergraduate courses this means satisfactorily completing the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), or equivalent, including prerequisite subjects and any tests or auditions required for the specific course you’re interested in. You will also need to meet the English language requirements.
Applicants who have not met these entry requirements may be eligible to apply for the non-school leaver entry pathway.
How to apply
How you apply depends on your visa status and current study arrangements.
If you are studying Year 12 in Australia and hold a visa for temporary residence, you must apply as an international student through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC). Applications open in late July and close in late September for studies commencing March the following year.
Applicants with temporary residency status who are NOT studying Year 12 in Australia must apply as international students direct to the University.
Students who have permanent residency or a Permanent Humanitarian Visa are required to apply as Australian students through VTAC.
Tuition fees
The tuition fees you pay depend on your visa status.
If you have Australian permanent residency or a Permanent Humanitarian Visa you are eligible for a Commonwealth supported place. Part of the cost of your course will be subsidised by the Australian Government and you will be responsible for the rest of the cost. More information about Commonwealth supported places.
If you have temporary residency status you will enrol in an international fee place. This means that you will be responsible for the full cost of your course. More information about international tuition fees.
